More than 18,000 lb of food delivered and more than 13,000 multivitamins not to mention various medications and a couple of tents… delivered to care for more than 3500 people in 600+ families. You have brought hope, love, and life to save and sustain them for at least the next four weeks.
Richard: Quick Update Before Coming Home
My friend Richard is on his way home from Haiti. I did not want to post much about him during his time there, simply because I wasn’t sure whether it would be more of a help or a hinderance.
Now that he is almost home, I am anxious to say how proud I am to count him as a friend. The plan he devised only a week ago has resulted in great success. I can’t wait to hear all of the stories from his short trip there.
This trip was just a band-aid; there is still much, much more to do. I hope to speak with Richard when he gets home and settled to discuss what the next steps are for bringing hope and health to the people of Mirebalais.
